Florence tea from master tea blender Harney & Sons, combines black tea with nut and chocolate flavours. For me, this tea evokes memories of being on holidays in Florence – cobblestone streets, colourful balconies with cascading bougainvillea, and the stunning countryside of Tuscany.
Created to honour their favourite Italian city, Harney and Sons describe this blend as ‘soul satisfying’. There’s no doubt that this is an exceptional tea befitting of beautiful Florence with a sweet chocolatey richness and a nutty robust aroma.
Serving and Brewing:
– Being a black tea, use boiling water at 100deg celsius
– Brew for 5 minutes
– I always add a dash of milk, or even cream (stir well though) to make it smooth and delicious.
– I like to drink this tea with a side of dark chocolate. Either plain 70% Cocoa or a few champagne truffles will do nicely.
